Director
Steve co-founded the Reclaiming Social Work (RSW) model and continues to lead its implementation as Director at Morning Lane Associates. At MLA, Steve has worked with a wide variety of authorities exploring the wider applicability of the RSW model, and he has also taken the model to Australia, Canada and the USA. Steve has acted as Frontline's professional advisor since its inception, and has been influential in desigining the Frontline mode of training delivery. He is also exploring with some authorities the potential use of Reclaiming Social work withi ...n adult social services. Steve has a BA (Hons) in Psychology, an MA in Social Work and a Masters in Business Administration. His social care experience ranges from working in frontline and managerial roles in Leicestershire to taking on leading positions in the London Borough of Hackney over its transformative period from 2001 to 2010.

Liz is a social worker and has completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Systemic Practice. She started her career as a children with disabilities support worker and went on to work in a number of statutory and non-statutory roles. She joined Hackney as a consultant social worker in 2008. Liz has helped develop the new Knowledge and Skills Statement for Social Workers as well as leading on the social worker accreditation pilot. Jane Scannell is a social worker and an experienced senior manager. She has significant experience of analysing the Child’s full journey throughout practice systems and has most recently been the lead on the ‘Reducing Bureaucracy’ strand of the Reclaiming Social Work Innovations Programme. Jane is currently working in Lambeth as an Assistant Director in their front door service.

Clinical Lead / Keeping Families Together
Jenny is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and has been twice Chair of the BPS's Clinical Division. Jenny's main clinical and research interests are in the application of psychology to the problems facing socially excluded families.  Jenny is currently working with NHS England on a new framework for the care of children in the secure estate, alongside work with Morning Lane and third sector charities.  Previous positions include Clinical Lead for the Morning Lane / ...DfE Innovation Programme, Lead Psychologist at Hackney CAMHS, Multi-Systemic Therapy Program Manager for N.E. London Partnership, and Social Care Section Manager in Lambeth.

Amy is business manager at Morning Lane, where she manages the operational work of associates, as well as working closely with local authorities on contracts and tendering. Amy has a BA (Hons) Hispanic and French Studies from the University of Portsmouth and is an experienced project manager and researcher.

Jennifer is a Senior Systemic Psychotherapist and an AFT registered Supervisor. She has a BSc. (Hons) in Psychology, MSc. in Systemic Psychotherapy and an Advanced Diploma in the Supervision and Teaching of Family and Systemic Therapy. She has over 25 years clinical experience and has been an Independent Expert Witness for court. Jennifer leads on the systemic content of various training programmes for many different Children's Social Care organisations and undertakes quality assurance of systemic training delivered by Morning Lane. She teaches on postgr ...aduate courses such as Step Up to Social Work and Frontline. She sits on the exam board for Morning Lane's accredited courses.

Mark trained as a Social Pedagogue in his native Germany before coming to the UK where his degree was considered a Social Work Qualification by the GSCC. He is also a registered systemic psychotherapist. Mark has worked as a consultant and clinician for Morning Lane in Buckinghamshire County Council and in Lambeth. He delivers various systemic training courses including in Aberdeen, Croydon and Newcastle. Linda has a BA (Hons) in Criminology and Sociology and MA in Social Work from Durham University. She has experience as a consultant social worker managing a leaving care unit and group manager role for a fostering and leaving care service. Linda now works with Morning Lane delivering leadership training, ASYE development training and clinical support - her most recent role has been leading on practice development in Medway. Linda is also a Director of LiKa fostering agency.

Karen has held a variety of social work roles within children’s services since qualifying with an MA in Social Work from Liverpool University in 2000. She has also been a qualified systemic practitioner since 2009 utilising the ideas within her social work roles. She is currently completely her MSc in Family Therapy at Kings College London. Karen has been working with Morning Lane for the past three years; most notably across Children’s Services in Southwark helping embed systemic thinking and working directly with practice groups and families as a ...clinical practitioner. She delivers a range of systemic front line and leaderships courses most recently working with the Hull leadership team, Newcastle managers and for the Frontline programme. Currently, she is placed within Lambeth within the Service Development Department. Karen also works as a leadership development advisor for Firstline offering coaching and leadership support in various local authorities.

Dr Jen Bradley is a chartered clinical psychologist currently providing clinical input for Derbyshire Council in the Preventing Family Breakdown Team which was developed as part of the Department for Education's Innovation Programme. Previously Jen has worked as a clinical lead within a brain injury rehabilitation service and later as a clinical psychologist for a range of neurological conditions.

Jamie is currently supporting the ASYE programme in Harrow and is teaching systemic practice in Croydon.

Having been based in Harrow until 2016, Amanda currently works with Morning Lane as a clinician in Southwark.

Bridget graduated from Bradford University with a with a BA (HONS) CQSW, she is certified in Systemic Family Therapy (University of London) and accredited in the ‘Learning Together’ (serious case review) systems methodology by the Social Care Institute for Excellence  (SCIE). She has spent over 27 years in child protection and safeguarding. Her formative professional life was spent as a front line social worker in referral and assessment and LAC teams. In subsequent years, she worked as a team manager, child protectio ...n chair, LADO, Independent Reviewing Officer and CAMHS team manager and held various senior leadership positions within Children’s Services.  Recently, Bridget has specialised in consultancy and leading some innovative safeguarding work; creating and facilitating bespoke training events, audit programmes, and undertaking complex safeguarding investigations. She is a serious case review author and has led numerous case reviews across the country. Bridget is currently studying on a master’s course (Consulting and Leading in Organisations: Psychodynamic and Systemic Approaches) at The Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust. She has most recently worked with Morning Lane supporting the assessment of social workers under the new Knowledge and Skills Statement.

Michelle’s career started in front line social work practise in child protection and she went on to develop her studies in New Zealand where she completed research for her dissertation on family group conferencing.  She then set up a family group conference service in a London borough and went on to develop a crisis intervention service with the aim of preventing children entering the care system.  Michelle has been 12 years in management within children’s social care and 3 years as a senior leader within statutory child care services. Michelle ...moved to Essex in 2010 where she oversaw the front line child protection and children with disabilities service. She also completed her systemic training with the Institute of Family Therapy. She has a strong belief that children should where possible remain within their families and promote families making decisions about their children wherever safe to do so. Michelle sees herself fundamentally a social worker, with the social work role as advocating social justice and a voice for those children and families that are underrepresented and marginalised in wider society.

He has worked in various service areas including Rapid Response Team (Edge of Care), CIN, Leaving Care, Fostering, and Early Intervention.
